15 September 2004 There is still a hole in my bathroom. There is still a leak upstairs. There is crumbling bits of ceiling in my shower. I wonder how much of my bathroom will end up being ripped out. I wonder when this will happen.

15 September 2004 Yeah, I slouch. My bags are heavy! But I walk so fast, even under heavy load, that it blurs. (I think the tuba weights 40 lbs, but I'm not sure)

17 September 2004 It's not just a bed, it's a drying rack. (Yes, those are ugly-ass boxer shorts. they also glow in the dark. TMI, eh?)

17 September 2004 India House, the grad student housing that's been assigned to the music department for more than 35 years (the person who has been here the longest remembers that far back. maybe longer) is going to be sold next summer.
DSC01800.JPG
17 Septermber 2004 India House is more than grad housing that's in dismal repair, it's also a frequently used rehersal space.

17 Septermber 2004 This piano is um weird. It's untuneable. The sustain is stuck on. It sounds like a piano from a nightmare. Many grad students have written music for it.
DSC01802.JPG
17 September 2004 India House is also used as a concert space. Last year, a vistting trio played an improv show in one of theliving rooms.
DSC01803.JPG
17 September 2004 Visitting artists often stay as India House, since they have three living rooms, one can make a guest bedroom.
DSC01804.JPG
17 September 2004 India House regularly hosted Irish Sessions last year. More than one per week.
DSC01805.JPG
17 September 2004 Angela lives in India house for the second year in a row. When I visitted school to see if I wanted to come here, I stayed in India House.
DSC01806.JPG
17 September 2004 If they get rid of India House, will they give us a space to reherse, perform, practice our instruments (some housemates object to the sound) and host visitors?
DSC01807.JPG
18 September 2004 The seasons are a-changing. East coasters say they like Fall because of the leaves, but it's actually because it's the only time of year with livable weather.

18 September 2004 Some trees are turning shades of red. It's not very exciting yet, really.
