Apparently, if you have the whole symphony playing at once, you&#8217;re kind of assaulting the audience.  She says this is a bad thing.  She says, &#8220;the symphony <em>is<\/em> the strings.  It&#8217;s like if you have a dress, the other instruments are just the lace.&#8221;  I said, ok, I&#8217;ll cut the strongs from my thirty second introduction.
