29 August 2004 UFPJ estimated the number of people lined up, waiting to march at 400,000. That wouldn't count me,as I came into the middle of the march. And it wouldn't count the many "feeder marches" of affiliate groups marching through town to some part of the main march route and joining in. All I can say is that it was the largest protest action I've ever been a part of and the largest march in NYC in more than 20 years.
